Draft 2

The industrial establishments are usually placed in the outskirts of a town. That is the reason why it is suitable to develop offices that represents different companies in the centre of a city such as in an elegant and stylish office-block. This large building contains many offices usually belonging to more than one company. Important business transactions take place in offices preferably, therefore attributing great importance to its designing is primary. It is a highly responsible job that requires time and a vivid imagination of the designer creating new ideas.

Work, in close connection with designing, goes on beforehand and it is essential to write about because the two can not be separated. Conciliatory discussion is taking place before the planning, which can last for months. Those who are present are the customers, designers and executors. The process of the planning is a group work of different designers-such as structural engineer, architect and mechanic-who are in touch with each other all the time. There are various kinds of designers. One is specialised in designing the building, its structure, and another person works on the furnishing. At the beginning of the planning operations the designer prepares a plan. The outline drawing of the building shows the position and size of the various parts.

When choosing the right place for an office the designer must think about the accessibility mainly. Placing the modern development by or near the main street of a town, it will be easy to find and also easy of access. In connection with the approachibility a parking place is essential either close to the office or sunken under the ground floor, which saves place. As for the exterior walls of the building if it is a requirement to fit it into the surrounding, a characteristic facade might be designed. In the lack of any serious demand, the building of the offices can be provocative in itself.

An aesthetic main entrance leaves a great impression on people entering the building. It was already a good job of the designer if the guest enters with positive feelings. Revolving doors appeared at the end of the 19th century. The use of these doors is advantageous where artistic appearance and air conditioning is a requirement. It reduces the heating expenses and locks out the dust from the street. It dies down the noise, which enables designers to make use of the area in the immediate vicinity of the entrance.

The development of a representative hall is essential. It shows the standard of the offices inside the building. For the costumers guidance a reception desk is built where clients are received and informed. The use of cheerful colours can influence the mood, which also designers must take into account.

A designer's job whose responsibility is the furnishing is just as important and complex. In the case of modern establishments architecture shows a great tendency to use glass even inside and outside the building. Offices separated with glass walls are rare in Hungary yet. However glass walls reduce the feeling of being confined within the four walls. They create spacious and large rooms, yet the offices are physically separated from each other. The use of glass is advantageous as well where the corridors are narrow. Natural light can be utilized in that way, which saves electricity expenses.

The glass plays an important part in furnishing too. Thank to the modern manufacturing and processing technology glass lost its fragility. It can easily be put in any shape and formed into a piece of furniture. Let us make an imaginary visit to a modern office where the designer shows a preferance to the use of the glass. The lady at the reception kindly offers a seat in a pretty bended glass armchair. Being afraid of breaking it into pieces, you sit down very cautiously. Your amazement is heightening when seeing a set of shelves made of thin glass and loaded with heavy books. When helping you off with your coat it is being hanged up on a glass coat rack. The surface of the writing desk is also made of glass.

Glass can be nicely combined with other materials such as wood. A conference table made of the combination of the two elements can even make a boring discussion memorable. It is always great to return to a tastefully furnished and decorated office. Equipments such as a computer, typewriter and stationery are part of the furniture and all the offices.

A restaurant, a buffet or a coffee-bar ensures the welfare of the office workers and also the customers. If the restaurant is built to the top floor and the natural endowments of the environment are fortunate the users can take pleasure in the sight of a beautiful view. It is also elemental that the office workers can have their meal inside the building, and they do not have to leave it for a coffee.

Picturing a modern office block in the approach of the 21st century men would imagine a glittering glass building reaching to the sky. Workers and customers who spend their most time of the day between those walls do not want to feel uncomfortable or locked in. To guarantee their ease, cosiness and even luxury, very talented group of designers are needed. The designers of any kind must work out the plan in great detail because the process of construction is put into execution by following that plan. Usually their time is limited, which makes the job harder. The long process of planning and designing needs to be paid a great attention and the hard work of the people will result a building that will be pleasant to look at. The main aim of designing an office block modern is to make customers feel urged to return.
